Contact with Terri, the host, was excellent! She gave us plenty of advice regarding things to do with the children and reponded to questions very quickly. The property was well kitted out with many small extras which were appreciated. Thank you!

The bedrooms were compact, especially the twin rooms, however, having 2 children this was no problem for us. Slight noise from the M6, which could bother some people.

The location is perfect for exploring the South Lakes, we will be coming to stay again to see more of the area. The host gave us lots of information about the local area and where to eat out which was helpful. We didn't have the best weather but the Lodge was warm and cosy, the hosts were so helpful and made the trip comfortable for us. We will definitely be returning in September for longer next time. The Lodge has everything that you need and it's great having the parking outside the door. There are three supermarkets close by and plenty to do within a walk or a short drive. The village is lovely to wander around and we enjoyed walking along the canal for miles. The host recommended that we call at Longlands for a drink after our walk which was very good.

The site was perfect for us exploring the southern Lakes, Arnside/Silverdale and Kirby Lonsdale area. The lodge was superb and really homely. The owner's communication was spot on and it's clear that they simply want guests to feel welcome and comfortable. The site looks lovely but we didn't stay long enough to use the facilities or wander around... you get the impression that the residents care about their site and it's spotless and well maintained. It just has a good vibe about it

It's not something that I didn't like but I was worried about the proximity to the M6 before I booked. It may be an issue for some guests but we found it not to be a problem at all. I prefer peace and quiet usually but there's no getting away with the fact that there is a hiss of tyres on tarmac from the motorway when you're outside on the decking however I must stress that your brain does tune it out and it disappears. When you're in the lodge it is barely noticeable. I think the site owners have done a great job with the noise cancelling landscaping. Don't let it put you off, I would revisit the lodge again if it's available.

Great location, host recommended we visit Arnside which was less than 10 minutes away and we went to Silverdale both beautiful, the coast is stunning. Are out at the local pub Longlands which was a great recommendation, we enjoyed a walk along the canal, we will definitely return to the Lodge host was really helpful. Lodge was immaculate and very cosy. We are hoping to return in June.

It was two far away , nothing on site and couldn’t get through the barrier
