2 Ipanema Umhlanga Beach garden unit next door to the Oyster Box Hotel

Located in a quiet area, spacious apartment, close to amenities, the beach and promenade. Great location.

The apartment iron was not working and ironing board broken, when raised with the host, he was dismissive and did not apologize for the inconvenience caused.

It was near the beach

Very unkept and old fashion, needs a revamp.The toilet leaked .The power tripped 4 times. Aircons dont work. No door in the bathroom. Fridge not working properly, food got spoilt.Only 1 parking. Security guards were not very accomodating. For a self catering facility not enough dishes and detergent for cleaning which we did on our own. Sheets were changed once. Will not recommend to family.

The location was central with easy access to the promenade, beach and shops. The apartment was spacious.

The apartment needs an upgrade. The furniture and finishes are not of a good quality. The kitchen was poorly stocked and lacked some vital utensils. There was only one parking space and it is not well located. The security was very difficult and refused to let people in to drop off older people and children. It is extremely noisy in the main bedroom - the traffic noise is hectic.

It was close to restaurants and the beach, it was reasonable and clean.

The main bedroom bathroom had no door

Location was excellent Handover of keys worked really well Security was really good Easy access onto the promenade and beach Bars and restaurants within a couple of mins walk

Very noisy with cars throughout the night No door on the en suite toilet (a pocket door could be an easy solution to save space?) Lack of useful mirror for a woman to do makeup and hair Bits looked a bit tired, could do with a freshen up and paint in some places
