L'Astrolabe - Private Beach

The location is perfect. you have a private secluded little beach in front, and you get to sleep to the sound of waves hitting the beach. The staff were very friendly and generous and provided me helpful information about my tour. You can also rent a scooter from them if you want to go around the island.

The place was very serene & truly breathtaking. I got the whole place to myself given I stayed during weekdays and lean season. The beach in front was such a view! You can tell you're in a natural paradise in this place. They provided soap and 2-towels.

The 4"-5" thick bed could be thicker / firmer given it's just laying on the bamboo floor. I can feel the corrugation beneath making it uncomfortable. It's a 3-4minutes climb from the room / descend from the parking lot and the path was very steep with little to no lighting at night. I get it's a place to disconnect but, oh boy how disconnected I was to everything. Even from the caretaker's home, the rooms were far. They also don't provide drinking water. The wifi signal was very shaky. It wasn't rainy when I stayed here. If you intend to work while on vacation and your work is internet-dependent, this place is not for you. Also, if you intend to stay here, I'd suggest to bring your own food because restaurants / eateries are quite far PLUS the hike to get to the road from the room was really really really far. I can't emphasize enough on that.

The accommodation is very secluded - so make sure you are ready for a 15-20mins trekking. On the national road, very few tricycle are available for pick up, so make sure you make arrangements or have contact ahead of time. The private place is very nice, beddings are clean, even common toilet is clean and tidy. Nonetheless, the staffs are very accommodating, helpful and friendly.

No cellular data or signal available. But they have wifi available. Transportation is a somehow challenging, most specially the trekking all the way down to the accommodation, but trekking goibg to national highway is much more complicated and tiring, trust me. If you are not physically fit, don't choose this place, but if you are physical fit, you can climb well. (Imagine us climbing up around 3:30am in order to catch up with the Binurong Point sunrise--lol, all we do for the sake of adventure). Hahaha.

We had an amazing stay, as a couple, we were looking for a quiet, peaceful place to relax and this was exactly what we needed. The atmosphere was so calm and serene, a place were we feel we've been trully disconnected from the busy work. We could say that services was exceptional, all the staff are accomodating and with this experience and beautiful place we will definitely get back here.

this place is a real jewel as one is in a beautiful chalet right on the beach in the middle of paradise! Both the view & the 24-hour sound of the waves is very relaxing & therapeutic. Usually my wife & I are constantly busy with excursions & explorations but in this case, we spent most of our time at or near the hotel as it was so special! There are a few local restaurants & small shops about 1km away, so that was very helpful. Staff are friendly & helped us with our suitcases.

Perfect location with the private beach 🌴

Amazing location. Private beach. A great place to relax and unwind. The owners went above and beyond to help me when I needed it. I can't wait to go back
