Martha's cottage by the sea

It was clean, well decorated and really well equipped, everything you need for a few days away was thought of. The location was quiet, close to shops and only a short walk to the beach too!

The steep stairs but this issue was highlighted when we booked.

Although parking was not a problem the road is very narrow (someone smashed our door mirror off )

Nice cottage but not for us

Could not stay here because of mobility problems, stairs to steep for my Wife. This was not hi lighted in cottage description. We had to book into the Cliff hotel for our stay another £600. E mailed owners but got no reply. Also we arrived after dark and was approached by young people on push bikes wearing balaclavas felt intimidated.

Beautifully presented cottage. Fully equipped, very clean and comfortable. Close to all amenities and very close to the beautiful beach.

The stairs are extremely steep and the view to the front and rear of the cottage is not at all pleasant. The road that the cottage is on is too narrow and it is not a one way road. There is a tight turn on the way into the road which is not comfortable to negotiate with a large car. We observed two cars coming either way on the road and when one reversed to give way to the other, he hit the wall right in front of the cottage next to the cottage’s green fence. As our car is large, parking and driving on the road felt risky. It would have been helpful to know that before we booked.
