"Clean but lean"

Good location for our activities. Spacious rooms and clean with adequate furniture. Great farm shop nearby.

Stale smell on entry (damp) Lamp was not connected and one socket with no extension to do so.Not resolved despite my husband asking. Yard was a disgrace (no change since 1900) with no effort to make it welcoming. No long dressing mirrors. The curtains were thin and did not close properly as the lace shared the same curtain pole, plus there was a street lamp right outside with no blackout. No instructions for smart tv. Handle on the spare room was hanging off with screws missing.

"Lovely family house"

The house is just lovely and had great facilities. Plenty of room and the kitchen is well equipped too.

The house was perfect for us but no restaurants with a walkable distance, just take away shops. However there is a Spar near by and you can if course cook in the kitchen.

"It was fine but I wouldn’t recommend it to a friend."

The house was comfortable and we were able to use it for a base while we explored beamish.

Unfortunately the property was very dusty, we were unable to use the garden space due to a large hole and uneven paths and it being over ran by weeds.

"Lovely few days, relaxing, exploring and enjoying Durham! Perfect base for what we needed."

Location was ideal for visit to Beamish, clean, tidy and practical base for our visit. Shops in local area too so a really good base for exploring and visiting Durham.

The bins in the back yard were heaving and no information with regards when to put them out for collection or would have done so for you. Maybe a short welcome sheet / pack with some details about the local area / amenities would be useful. Some place mats / coasters would also be useful to make sure your furniture doesn’t get damaged with marks etc. Really minor but the pillows in the front bedroom could also do with a refresh not the comfiest. Loved the selection of books in the property though 📚 👍

The location for visiting Beamish and Locomotion

The heating and hot water system not working well. Finally got it sorted when I sent a message to say we were cold. It needs the system given more information in the house Not everyone can pick up videos on how to work the water and heating boiler. We couldn't sit outside as the bins were open and smelly. Had problems with the neighbours about parking.
