Had contact with two people during my visit at the Riad. The olderly Lady whose name I unfortunately have forgotten who is like the friendly ghost Casper, always on site, opening the door and making breakfast and then we have Chaougi who takes care of more practical things and also gives you hints where to shop and what to visit and so on. These two people are really lovely and deserve all the respect and some extra tips for their hard work. The Riad is quite small but cozy. Beautifully ornamented details. The room I had had no window apart one fake window to the "inside yard" and at first I felt a little claustrophobic but after a day or two wondering around the city I was really glad for the absence of the window. The city is like an active bee-hive with lots and lots of mopeds, cars and motorcycles and therefore also very noisy. The absence of the window kept the room quiet and free of exhaustion fumes from the street. The air conditioner worked perfectly, and I slept well. The Riad is perfectly situated a few minutes walk from the market and most things you want to see. Are walking distance Even the internet worked fine. Breakfast is not like a big hotel breakfast but absolutely to my satisfaction. especially when it was served with a welcoming smile from the sweet lady. It is a little simple standard, yet nice. You don' tpay much for your visit so it is money well spent and definitely worth it.

Neighborhood/surroundings. This is something that propably most or all places have in common. Busy streets, so I don't think this would be much better in other places in the city. "Hobbit door" .. the entrance door is quite low, 3so be careful not to hit your head 😀

"Nice riad with lovely staff in a convenient location"

8.0

The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming to families. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed the company, advice and recommendations. The riad is cosy and the room had some authentic details. The location was very convenient for visits within the medina and Gueliz.

Our room was subterranean so it can get quite damp and stuffy air especially after showering. There was an air-conditioning unit in the room so the staff has done what they can to help. The location sits in between the extremely tourist-focused souks and local businesses. You will get treated very differently depending on which direction you approach the Riad from. It didn't ever feel dangerous but beware of your behaviour and ask for advice from the staff if you are unsure.

Good location. Very friendly staff but the person there all the time doesn't speak French or English. Her brother who sometimes is there, does.

Bedroom and bathroom not very clean. Only one towel each. Minimum breakfast. Shower needs revision.

Our stay at Riad Elijah Marrakech & Spa was incredible! My mom and I enjoyed every moment of our 2-day visit. The facilities were good and the Riad’s location was perfect, as it was close to all the important places: the médina, restaurants, the city center, the souk… The staff, especially Chawki and Rabiaa, were amazing and made our stay truly memorable. Highly recommend!

The staff were very friendly. The bed was very comfortable. Parking was indeed right next to the hotel. Quiet.

The description on Booking.com was just incorrect. The rooms do NOT Have their own kitchenette/fridge, and are certainly not larger than usual -- ours was smaller than usual. No outlet in the bathroom, poor lighting all around. Tiny plastic containers supposed to be soap and shampoo that had their tops cut off and had clearly been refilled with ... something. The bed was a regular double, not queen sized. No terrace for breakfast and the little courtyard was decorated with plastic flowers rather than real plants. Boxed juice for breakfast rather than the fresh-squeezed juice which is available all over Marrakech. No maid service because of the Eid. The small Hammam (called a spa) was closed because of the Eid. It was a long walk from Jmaa el Fna. We have stayed in LOTS of other Riads in Marrakech over the years so I was really sorry this one wasn't better for our friends visiting from the USA.
