"Very pleasant, very comfortable and would visit again."

8.0

It was a pleasant property and was ideal for our short break. Spent most of our time exploring the Suffolk coast so it was a good base to stay in.

It was very comfortable, clean and larger than the photos showed. My only comment would be that it could do with a little bit more equipment in the little kitchen such as: glasses, bread knife and a slice. But other than that, it was fine and certainly didn't affect our stay.

"Excellent"

8.0

Location was good. The property was very warm.

A television would be a good addition and the hot water in the bathroom basin needs attention. In the write up it stated "toiletries provided" the only item provided were 2 bars of soap! Outside needs some lighting, very dangerous with steps and uneven paving.

"I was disappointed with the whole experience"

4.0

Nothing really - disappointed all round after staying in a similarly advertised property 2 weeks previously that was a very high standard. this property was generally not up to scratch in the modern day

Exterior lighting - very difficult to find the way in in the dark on 1st arrival. Entrance way was confusing with a curtain into the property. Bathroom was very tired, shower was poor, room generally grubby / cobwebs. Kitchen facilities were very poor with a single ring hob and no oven and very few cooking utensils. The property smelled fusty and all the furniture was very dated and there was a general creepy feel to the place. The whole property needs an overhaul and modernisation

"A quiet refuge from city life"

9.0

The best feature of this holiday house: absolute silence during almost the whole stay. Fantastic place if you need to rest from the daily hustle and bustle. Very good size for the money, all essentials - if simple - were available. There is no TV at the property (nor equipment like dishwasher) but for me personally that wasn't a problem; it's actually good as a partial media detox :) Mentioning it here just because I didn't check the object description and assummed there will be one, which was my bad. Location is great; house is just by the main road of the village but... it's a very quiet village so not a problem at all. Parking at the village common is very close by and there are plenty of areas and paths for walking. Drive to the beach is just ~10 minutes, drive to Aldeburgh ~15 min. It's a simple but lovely place to rest and recharge your batteries.

As other mentioned, a few items need some TLC: window blinds, handrail on stairs behind the the bedroom, leading to the garden. Garden could also use a little bit love plus it's not really clear which parts are or aren't available to guests of this house.

Comfortable bed

Just seemed as if owners not interested. One door just a curtain. Lots blinds but most needed replacing.

"Aldeburgh worth a visit but property was at best passable. Pity because it has so much potential!"

5.0

A little difficult to locate. Area was very quiet and not many people about at all. Good space for two adults. Garden but didn't use. Location was good with Aldeburgh and nearby locations reasonably easy to drive to. Parking was nearby in a shared parking place but not in front of the property. Probably just as well with traffic passing by.

The place could do with some TLC and money spent on it to make it more comfortable and pleasing to the eye. Misunderstanding on whether the property had wi-fi or not. It did but we did not bring a laptop or tablet which would have been very useful. The appliances were pretty basic and served a purpose. Make tea and have breakfast. Didn't bother cooking meals. The shower was very disappointing. Small and water slow to clear so a stagnate amount of water in the tray at all times. On the second day the temperature started to fluctuate every 20 seconds so a very quick shower and wife could not wash her hair as planned. One should bring their own toilet paper since the quality provided was very poor. Steep steps to the bottom and narrow entrance to the front door. Conservatory was very hot and could not open the windows/door. Probably not great value for 2 nights but it was the first time visiting Suffolk.
