The property was very clean and comfortable

We loved having access to the backyard with the lush vegetation and eating breakfast on the patio. The rooms were all very nicely decorated and very clean. The mini-kitchen area and amenities were super convenient for making breakfast. The hosts were very responsive and friendly.

Location, accommodations, friendly helpfulness of the host. No negatives to report! The recommendations for sites and restaurants were spot on!

The room was Clean! Comfortable! and Inviting, and most importantly Affordable! There was so much thought put into making our stay great by the host, for example....the booklet the host put together with information about the island, restaurants, sites to visit, and even a list of translated words to use when talking to the locals. The bed had a firm and a soft pillow for each guest! There was beach gear and even bug spray available for us to use. Overall, it was a great place.

The only thing that I would change is the distance from attractions. The house is a little drive away from the airport, downtown Hilo, and attractions. Each morning we drove about 45 mins to 1 hour to get to our destination. However, that was with the morning traffic. The location of the property was not bad enough to prevent us from staying there again.

What a fantastic alternative to a hotel! I can’t say enough about how easy and comfortable our stay was here. The owners were kind and accommodating and the accommodations were clean and in excellent condition. So tastefully decorated and the surrounding gardens were just beautiful. The ocean was just blocks away and the whole area was just so peaceful. Would stay here for very visit if I could! Perfect space for my teenage daughter and I.

My favorite place so far on the Big Island. It was spacious and impeccably clean. The bed is SUPER comfortable with soft linens and pillows that reminded me of home. The Keurig coffee with sweetner, sugar and real cream was the BEST. There is a filtered water cooler too. They provide shampoo, conditioner and soap in the shower that seemed high quality and smells good, plus there were helpful items like some lotion/off/sunblock although someone may have left those items behind. I loved the outlet strips on each side of the bed to allow both of us to charge our multiple devices simultaneously, which is helpful to those of us traveling with a lot of devices. The ceiling fans worked great and it was a fine temp without A/C. Another nice touch is the games to play (ex Monopoly/Life) and some books to read, which we appreciate when travelling. The WIFI worked great and we used their guide book of suggestions/recommendations to decide to hike the Puna Trail (Shipman Beach). It was walking distance from the room. It was not the easiest hike, but not the hardest, and the beach at the end made it so worthwhile as we hung out with many huge sleeping sea turtles. I highly recommend this stay!
