Quirky cottage in the centre of Penrith with a Hot Tub

property was spacious and hot tub was fab

Wasn’t very clean, loads of dust left on skirting boards and floor was very dirty. Could of done with a mop or brush and dust pan

The property was great value for money considering the location / being so close to the centre and a big supermarket (Sainsbury’s was less than a five min walk away). We loved the board games provided and the karaoke machine. The pool table and darts was a big hit! The hot tub was a great end to each night and simple to use! We loved the modern look of the house and modern facilities.

Easy to locate but some issues with the gate code and key Box code not being provided before check in despite communication beforehand. The beds were so uncomfortable we all had terrible sleep, and we are used to camping holidays on the west coast of Scotland! The mattresses are old spring ones and thin, lumpy and made for terrible nights sleep. The host did not provide a lot of kitchen cleaning materials (1 small sponge, 1 dish cloth, no anti-bacterial wipes, no broom to sweep up the kitchen). We booked the house because of the kitchen to allow us to cook instead of eating out every meal, and we had to buy our own cleaning supplies after the first night (more sponges, extra dish cloths, tin foil as the baking pans are cracked and flaking, but again no broom so we had to use the dishcloths to ‘scoop’ up any crumbs and dirt. Luckily Sainsbury’s is close by so these could be bought but was inconvenient and a suprise that these wernt provided. Also, the photos provided give the impression of a larger outdoor area, was very unimpressed that once a car is parked in the drive that the rattan furniture (of which one of the chairs had ‘sunk’ and was unusable) is basically up against the hot tub.

The house was lovely,newly done. Good size. House spotless Games room was a bonus

Just the noise at night time with it being in the town centre. Cars flying around at night time,with music loud etc.

Beautiful decoration. Exceptionally clean. Spacious and comfortable

We found a maggot just under the lid of the hottub on day 1 so unfortunately it put us off using it, which is a shame as we were so looking forward to relaxing in there. The downstairs bedroom - two family members slept there and despite having the window open the room had a damp feel - bedding and clothes slightly damp with moisture. They had to move to the upstairs bunk beds after the first night.

Facilities, location, information from our host was brilliant.

Nothing.

Cottage was perfect,apart from not being able to get Netflix on in the living room,got it the bedroom so wasn't to bad,could of done with a brush and shovel there and a mop that wasn't broken,but we enjoyed the hot tub and the games room,couldn't do much because of the rain all weekend,

Letting me know the check in/out times just the day before, I had already arranged for pick up and had to change it last minute.

it was clean and spacious, I had my dog with me and he was secure to run in outdoor area and games room.

there was nothing we didn’t like.

the games room was a good bonus

the property is on a busy road so you would need to reverse out onto a busy road, the hot tub looks private, however when you’re getting in and out of it, it’s possible to make eye contact with people enjoying their drink in the wine bar next door. There is also a camera that looks like it points towards the hot tub, it says it’s for the side gate..the side gate is right next to the hot tub. In the pictures it shows multiple towels available to you on the bed, however you only get one towel per person. So if you don’t want to have the same towel for hot tub water and shower water, I’d recommend bringing your own. In the guest book, every single review I saw, mentioned about meeting the host and some even mentioned a welcome pack. For my stay personally, I saw none of that, not even a hello from the host or a goodbye. I thought that was strange considering what I have experienced in the past with different hosts.
