Topaz Motel - Flagler Beach

The location was the only good thing.

Extremely dirty and run down. Majority of the rooms had some sort of damage, whether it was a broken door knob, broken door, TVs didn't work, the sink faucet was coming out. I had one room inside the main location with a broken door and a broken faucet and the toilet overflowed as soon as we got in. The answer from management was I can switch you to the motel side or to another room but that room had a broken TV. I said how about you fix the toilet. His reply was maintenance already left. He then handed me the plunger to do it myself. I also had a room on the motel side because I had dogs. Side note I stayed there last year and he let me in with the dogs with no fee and now he charged me a fee and said I had to stay on the motel side as well. So my husband and I had a split rooms and his TV did not work. Both the hotel and motel smelled badly. You have to call him to get a hold of the guy each time. Not to mention he lied when I first got there when I asked for a second room inside the main lobby hotel he told me they only have king size beds. I told him I just reserved a room with double beds and then he went ahead and gave me another room. He was a total liar. The entire hotel is dirty and falling apart. I'm sure there's mold inside the walls. They need to have an inspection. The only good thing is the restaurant just opened even though they charge an arm and a leg. Three desserts and a coffee cost $50. I will never stay there again with all the hotels around.
