Large En-suite by the Beach

Beautiful, huge room. Well equipped with storage and a lovely, huge bath. The towels also were fantastic. Very clean and presentable. Easy access to other places by car. The room was also lovely and cool during a heatwave even with no fan. Didn't see the owner past a wave so were left to it which was nice, but she made sure we could contact her as needed. Adorable cat popped by to say hi too!

The patio was a lot smaller than expected and on the drive. The road was very noisy and the windows while beautiful - face the road so not much privacy with the blinds up. The room itself is also sectioned off from the main house so at times we felt a bit like we were intruding and could hear a lot from the home. But honestly didn't really impact our stay much just not what we thought. Could maybe use a small folding table or something in the room? But we would happily visit again, great value and the beach near by was lovely.

Close to the beach and local facilities of Bournemouth. Great bathroom and plenty of space in the room.

Bigger TV would be nice....

It was great that we could park on the drive right in front of the private entrance into the room. The room was lovely and spacious and very clean. Tea and coffee facilities were included and toiletries. It was great for our dog as it was easy access from car straight into property when we were unloading car. The location was good for walking dog and under 10 minutes walk to shops and places to eat which were dog friendly. The owner was very helpful on advising on places to go and very friendly when speaking on phone.

There was a television with a remote control but no wires to plug in TV so unable to watch. Could hear kids running around and talking/laughing from next door as room is connected to house. The room needs sound proofing.

Very good size room, very comfortable with a lovely bathroom. Great location, private entrance and little fridge was just such a blessing 😄 toiletries, towels provided.

Only few things for me which were missing, a chair or armchair and a little table to sit down for a meal. More hangers would be great and maybe chest of drawers would make storage more easier.

The bathroom was very nice, shower good.

The bedding on the sofa bed was inferior quality, it had already been slept in before I used it. It was grubby and smelt stale! We arrived after 9pm and so I had to sleep in someone else's dirty bedding. Disgusting! There was nowhere to sit, ridiculous in such a big room. There was no water provided,nor soap or cleaning gel (stated as free in description) an empty fridge! No tea and an old dried up tin of coffee. The floors were dirty with sweet wrappers and a torn boxed game. The TV has restricted access, no terrestrial channels, no access to iplayer, only able to get Netflix and ITV hub and that kept losing connection. Outside the entrance door the gravelled garden looked like a piece of wasteland with weeds, pieces of timber, sacks of compost and dirty seats. It was 15 mins walk to the coast and much longer to get onto the beach, so not 'by the sea' as described. In fact it is on a busy through road. I contacted the property to complain and was more or less called a liar until I sent photos. Then late the next day the bedding was changed and a couple of sachets of tea and coffee provided. Water arrived about 10 pm. The family in the main house could be heard distinctly through the adjoing door, not very pleasant to hear them blowing noses, banging doors.... This property is certainly not worth renting at the price I paid, in fact not worth renting under any circumstances!
