Nice lodge and the park is lovely

Not been cleaned! Bins full to the brim of the last occupants. Food on the floor. Toenail clippings on the floor! Windows dirty. Tried calling to tell them about this but no answer until the next day and then they still didn’t come to clean it or empty the bins!

Absolutely loved the lodge! Was so comfy and homely. Also love the hidden bathroom in the wardrobe! We didn’t see it until the second day.

Only reason I wouldn’t give 10 stars is I feel the £200 deposit is a lot of money

On arrival very impressed with presentation of the lodge, kitchen had all the essentials, towels on beds, extra blankets, and instructions for everything was very useful

Stains on one of the bedding, hair on another, stains in shower, stains on floor in lounge and on kitchen chairs, splash back in kitchen covered in marks Cobwebs and spider in one bedrooms above the bed

"Home from home"

The receptionist was super friendly on arrival. She quickly got us checked in and explained everything to me,the surroundings were stunning and well kept. The lodge was so clean and comfy,a home from home in an idyllic setting. The rooms had plenty of space,and everywhere throughout was spotless,nicely decorated with nice little touches. The kitchen was more than well equipped, and the hot tub was beautiful and set to the perfect temperature. Was a wonderful place to celebrate our daughters 16th birthday and a bonus that our furbaby could come too. We ordered food from the bar on site, which does takeaways also, and the food was amazing. Before we left, we also went for brekfast at the bar,the staff were very welcoming and friendly,they also allow dogs in which is a real bonus,she loved all the strokes and the wild boar chew she had for brekkie. Would highly recommend for anyone who maybe wants to stay and visit york like we did.

Maybe a bit more privacy round the balcony because of the hot tub, but we did only use it on a night.And a bit of a shame the larger bathroom was in the room with the single beds rather than the main bathroom
