Seafront Cottage - The Nook

Location is great, you have a sea view from the bedroom window.

Not something they can fix, but the centre of Penarth's restaurant bins seems to be in front of the main gate (which can make it noisy in the morning for light sleepers). Also the entrance to the property is up stairs which may be difficult for less mobile guests.

Location and house smart clean all u need it was there.bathtub was quite nice too

No tv upstairs but that’s not big thing

Great location, all amenities were present. The bathroom is nicely hidden and sufficiently luxurious, really no complaints whatsoever. Some nice restaurants adjacent and also in the neighbourhood. We chose it as our last stay before catching a train in Cardiff back home.

The front gate for all residents is way too noisy and the same gate is also used by the adjacent restaurant uptown 2300 or so; I suspect this can be fixed by letting it not close so hard and is a requirement to really enjoy the Nook, the other apartments should not be affected.

The metal access gate was noisy when others came through it . It made a loud metallic crash which woke me several times late at night. No parking

The Bath and shower are excellent the bed is big and comfy. The coffee machine is fab. The location is great and the communication was good. It’s a lovely property slightly let down by a few small things. The manager of the property sent a video of what to do to access the accommodation which was great.

No dining table, trays or any table you could eat food from. In the pictures of the property there is a dining table, in reality that space contains a wicker chair. There is basic crockery and cutlery, in a full kitchen. We took food to cook a “romantic” meal that was abandoned because of practicalities which is very disappointing. There was a musty smell which is why windows were left open when we arrived and there were plenty of cobwebs. Finally, no washing up liquid or dishwasher tablets.
