"Great base camp for exploring Vanuatu"

9.0

Yes beds a bit hard as people said but suited me. Vanuatu not cheap at all for Accomodation and I was renting a car so all I needed was a base camp - great. Internet good including streaming can smoke on the room's balcony in a superior easy parking Staff were very helpful. A few things different to the photos but they are new and finishing setting up.

needed a bath mat

"Good Value for Business"

8.0

The internet is super fast, so working from the hotel is easy, if on business trip or simply want to stream. The rooms are also spacious with everything need: desk for working, big bed, wardrobe, table & chairs, lounge, TV, Mini-Fridge and big bathroom. The balcony is a welcome addition as well. The property is in a great location, really close to town (though town is still recovering from the earthquake), close to major roads to make transport easy (though very walkable). Has a convenience store under the building (great for quick drinks and snacks) and my favourite bar (Banyan Bar), which also has great food, is just a short stroll down the hill. Stone Grill, maybe the best restaurant in Port Vila, which also has a Cocktail Bar attached, is also a stones throw away. While the K2 restaurant at the Tennis Club (which also has a gym for those inclined) is also very close for more affordable meals. Also a Nakamal next door, for those wanting Kava fix. The restaurant at the hotel has a top class Chef, with great value meals available. The Curry Night and BBQ nights are highly recommended. Also has a cool little bar on site. The staff are fantastic, super friendly, when we returned from our trip and came back late - they even opened the bar for us (after already closing), so we could have a few much needed drinks. Super good value, compared to many of the hotels/resorts, especially with low inventory, following the damage and closure to many, after the earthquake last year.

The beds were the only issue I had. Quite hard and could do with softer mattresses. The toilet seat in my room, also needed to be replaced, though had been fixed. Be great to add screen doors, so could have doors open when cooler, without the insects coming in. More a hotel for business than pleasure, it certainly isn’t a resort, which was fine for our purpose. Again we stayed in winter but there is no pool, which would be nice in the hotter months. Also no gym but the tennis club with one of the best gyms in Port Vila, is just down the road.

The beds were the only issue I had. Quite hard and could do with softer mattresses. Would recommend the rooms with a balcony, for longer stays. More a hotel for business than pleasure, it certainly isn’t a resort, which was fine for our purpose. Again we stayed in winter but there is no pool, which would be nice in the hotter months.
