AUI thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Heart of the City homestay. Even prior to my arrival, the generosity and kindness shown to me was second to none. Rashmi and his sister Poorvi assisted me immensely with a leopard safari booking at Amagarh reserve and offered suggestions for places to eat (I highly recommend Masala Chowk) and assisted with my first ever Uber booking!! I am so grateful for their assistance during my time in Jaipur. The location of the homestay is excellent - easy walking distance to the central sights. The room was very comfortable - aircon, great hot water, tea / coffee, filtered water, fridge etc... I couldn't have asked for anything more. The laundry service was efficient. The breakfasts were also incredible - I was served a combination of western and Indian cuisines which proved to be a more than satisfying start to each day. A note to other guests - please be courteous towards your fellow travellers when conversing in the courtyard... The sounds are amplified. This is a very convenient and incredibly hospitable place to base yourself while in Jaipur. Highly recommend!!
My only suggestion is to verify breakfast time with their guests each morning... I assumed the time I'd chosen for the first morning would be the same for subsequent mornings but that's my fault really for not confirming in advance!
AUExcellent Fantastic Stay. This was by far the best homestay I have stayed at. The host Prakhar and his family, staff and dogs were exceptional in every way. The rooms, beds, bathroom and breakfast were first class. If you are coming to Jaipur don't stay anywhere else. Thank you from the 4 of us for everything
Nothing
VNIt's a little oasis right in the heart of the city absolutely spotless. I loved the large comfortable bed and the hot/cold drinking water unit in the room was also appreciated. Breakfast was chai tea, fruit and a different Indian dish each day very tasty.
Nothing to not like
AUPoorvi and Prakhar were excellent hosts and provided an extremely comfortable and clean room for our stay. The water dispenser in the room was a great touch and eliminated our need to buy bottled water. The room and the attached bathroom were clean and had all the necessary amenities.
The blankets provided were too warm and didn’t work for the weather in October. Possibly could provide spare lighter, summer blankets or throws as an alternative for warmer months.
