Royal Cocoon - Nuwara Eliya

Beautiful hotel. It is a lovely old colonial style building with superb gardens.The staff were very attentive. Breakfast very nice. We were upgraded to a massive room which we enjoyed very much.

WiFi was a bit slow

As you arrive, you see a beautiful, white building, a single floor impressive arrangement. The gardens are immaculate, we had afternoon tea and coffee in there after our trips and walks. The staff are most helpful. I am lactose intolerant and the chef went out of his way to cook what I could eat. We could ask for dishes at lunchtime or for our evening meals. We had lovely cocktails before dinner. We walled to the wonderful Gregory’s Lake, the peaceful Victoria Park and into town. Tuktuks are readily available for trips to the Tea Planations and glorious waterfalls. Anything that concerned us at all, was dealt with swiftly and kindly. Thank you.

There was nothing that we did not like. The decor is olde England, not all will like it, we did!

Was a bit cold and outside was a bit noisy

The room and the bathroom sizes, cleanliness, hospitality, and a very cozy bed. The Chef and the Hotel Manager nicknamed “Ash” is an amazing guy, a great hotel manager and a great cook.
