Overall, the stay was pleasant in many ways. The room was very clean, cosy, and well equipped, with everything we needed. Shampoo and shower gel were also provided, which was appreciated.

However, I do think the host should pay more attention to how unexpected issues are handled, especially when they affect basic facilities. On the first night of our stay, we found that there was no hot water in either the bathroom or the kitchen. We checked everything we could, read through all the check-in information, but could not find any solution. We suspected that the boiler may not be witched on, but we could not find it anywhere. By then, it was almost 11 p.m. We completely understand that it was not ideal to call at such a late hour, but our messages had not been answered and we had no idea how to resolve the situation. We therefore tried calling for help, but there was still no response. The official Staynova phone number provided in the guest manual also could not be reached, and we suspect it may have been incorrect. The next day, the host provided the password to a storage cupboard where the boiler was located, and we were able to adjust the pressure so that the hot water system started working again. However, the boiler clearly still had an issue. On the second night, the hot water only lasted long enough for one person to shower. By the time the second person used the shower, the hot water became intermittent. My husband was not able to have one proper hot shower during the entire stay, which was very frustrating. We feel that, for an accommodation provider, ensuring guests have reliable access to hot water is a basic expectation. Although everything else about the property was very good, this issue significantly affected our experience and is the reason for this negative review. I hope this feedback is useful for both future guests and the host.

Home away from home. Such a joy to arrive here after hours of driving! So clean and cosy. So welcoming! Lovely kitchen treats and great coffee! Attention to detail was so evident. Gorgeous place!

The apartment has everything you need. This is our second stay great location and really comfortable.

I think £50 for a small immaculate well behaved dog is steep

The apartment was lovely. Had everything you needed and little extras had been left, cereal, biscuits, milk etc which was a lovely touch. Nicely decorated and beds were really comfy and cosy. Great location. Nearby restaurants and pubs. Only 1.5 miles to Bowness, easy walk to get the boat on the lake. Would definitely return.

Just had a small issue with the TV but rang Lara and got it sorted.
