"Great hotel for young families but good to be desired."

8.0

Beautiful hotel, exceptional services to make a trip away with a young child as easy as possible, would highly recommend to parents with young families

Everything was incredible except for the food which completely let the side down. A hotel of this quality and budget should have far better food, both in terms of taste but also quality of food. Avocado on breakfast wasn’t fresh, poor quality sausages, very bland over-cooked pasta. This was a real disappointment.

Th kind welcoming staff, the gardens, the wow bathroom, dinner, restaurant staff, the bed. Thank you so much for being so friendly and easy. And for allowing dogs. Oh and the zip wire was awesome!

"Nice hotel - geared towards families"

7.0

Good situation close to Bradford on Avon and nice old house with garden terrace. Access to the pool and hot tub was a bonus. Very good breakfast.

Very children orientated: one seemed to trip over a pram on every corner - I imagine it would be hellish in any school holidays if you are not a fan of children!

"Great home away from home stay, great cocktails on the lounge."

10.0

Beautiful grounds and really lovely sofa area, great cocktails too! We have a child but went just as a couple - the hotel is marketed to families so there were lots of children and dogs around, which made it feel cosy but definitely wouldn’t be for people who wanted a more adult environment!

Nothing really! Wish we had longer there.

"Wonderful for families, lovely staff"

10.0

Wonderful place to come as a family. The staff are lovely and warm and very helpful -- they absolutely made our visit perfect, and were so friendly and kind to our daughter. A gardener absolutely made her day by giving her a tour of trees and then remembering her the next day. Our room was massive, with a huge bathroom, and everything we needed for a toddler was supplied. The pool is beautiful, the changing rooms are clean. The gardens are gorgeous, even in early spring, and we spent most of our time just roaming around between fairy gardens and actual gardens. Really want to thank the restaurant staff for their assitance with my husband's coeliac requirements. Tony (apologies if we got your name wrong) had such perfect knowledge of the menu and could recommend everything that was gluten free and what subsititutions could be made. It may seem like a small thing, but it gave us such confidence that my husband could actually enjoy his meals risk free. Would recommend this hotel to anyone with allergen issues, they take it seriously and don't make you feel like a burden. I wish that wasn't so rare, but we really appreciated it. Can't wait to come back.

The first night, our food was excellent. The second, it was slow to come and rather disapointing. But that's about the only complaint. During the renovations, it'd be nice to see more play equpiment for children, it could use a bit of a refresh, but that's being very picky. Wish we could have stayed longer, looking forward to coming back when the renos are done.
