Woolley Grange Hotel

Welcoming to babies and dogs.

Very slow service in restaurant food under or overcooked. Furnishings extremely tired. Horrid plastic notices everywhere telling guests what to do or not to do. Garden looked as if it needed tending. Not what it was sadly. Room baking, discovered heating on.

The Brreakfast and location were great but our last day the staff couldnt cope with the amount of customers so had a long wait to be served.

More kitchen staff so the turn round was better

Excellent breakfast, top quality.

Dinner was average. I believe they changed the menu the next day to include additional and varied items

Grand looking building with spacious outdoor areas including an outdoor swimming pool. Lounge areas were cosy and nice to have a cup of tea and read a book.

Our first room ‘the cosy’ was cosy and atmospheric but spoilt by noise from the kitchen fan outside, also there were lots of cobwebs on the inside of the windows which were also very difficult to close. We asked to move and we were put into what could only be described as a step up from a cell, it was incredibly small, depressing, and nowhere near the money being asked for it, the wardrobe was located in the bathroom due to space restrictions. Thankfully we ended up in a room which was very satisfying and we were grateful for the staff for moving us there.

A lovely character hotel with all the modern conveniences that you need. All the staff were exceptional friendly and helpful.

The only improvement would to have the TV at a level so both people can watch it easily (The Boys room).

Excellent for children. The Den was brilliant. The staff were very friendly. Yoto players, bottle washing - milk on tap. Multiple movies at the cinema.

No gym - but a lovely spa

Service from the staff was very poor except the receptionist was excellent. Most staff are super young and not trained or friendly.

Location, staff.

Lots of areas not child safe. Had to request baby gates for areas that should have had them. No plug covers. Popcorn left on floor overnight in baby area of playroom/creche.
