Amalfi Venere house -balcony & seaview

We loved the view from the location, as it was just stunning. The apartment was very clean, welcoming and had all the essentials items you would need for your stay. The host was also very attentive and always available to help us out with any questions, give us suggestions on things to do and even help with booking if needed! There is also a garden that you have access to where you can get lemons, eggplant and Zucchini! Also the A/C works amazingly well for those hot days/nights!

This is mainly an FYI for future guests as is not something the host can really do anything about, but actually getting to the property can be quite challenging if you have heavy suitcases, as you do need to go down quite some stairs so be weary if you have heavy luggage. It is absolutely doable though, as I made it down with 2 large suitcases which weighed 23kg and 28kg.

Beautiful view, good size double bedrooms, two bathrooms so great for two couples, great cooking facilities, very clean, air conditioning was extremely helpful for the hot weather.

Our host Vincenzo was very attentive and responsive on WhatsApp (blankets, restaurant suggestions, questions), checked how we were doing everyday. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, super clean. Close to highly-rated restaurants in Pogerola area. Terrace and view were AMAZING especially in the mornings to hear the birds singing while enjoying coffee. Reliable buses (20-min ride €1.40 ticket) into Amalfi central. Beds were comfortable; washing machine, shower temp and pressure, stove/fridge, coffeemaker all worked. We appreciated earlier check-in and lemon trees, nice family wanted to make sure we felt at home during our 7-night stay.

The apartment was beautiful, but it took us a couple of days to get used to stairs up/down. After we figured out to leave/return during cooler times of the day and to catch the bus so not so many stairs, we were okay. There are stairs everywhere in Amalfi, so just be prepared and plan accordingly if you’re not used to it. Definitely not the vacation stay for people with bad knees and mobility issues.

Access via stone stairs can be challenging and precarious, expensive separate parking, not as well stocked with supplies as comparable experiences, not great WiFi network

1. The check in was at 15 hours but we had to wait in the parking till 16.45 hours 2. The apartment was extremely cold, the floor very cold, the host told us will provide some slippers but didn't keep his word 3. The apartment is not close to Amalfi city center, is in Pogerola, you reach Amalfi center by bus in aprox half an hour 4. One morning we woke up with no gas, no hot water, we had to wait for an hour for the problem to be solved 5. If you rent a car the host will charge you 25eur/day for parking 6. The kettle that apperas in photos is missing; not even a pot to make coffee 7. Cleanliness rate: 7 out of 10

Everything was awesome! Place is spacious and clean! Very very nice! Vincenzo is a great host and during the entire stay he was at disposal! I recommend!

Great views & nice, quiet location away from the hustle of the town. New, spacious house with all facilities and parking available. Fantastic host.

Nothing.

First off there were no instructions on how to get to property from Ferry..... When we asked the taxi drivers they said they could not make it to location where property was and would have to leave us at end of street.... RED FLAG. We ended up taking a bus, then walking approx 1 mile up and down hills plus 100 large steps to get down to property..... If you want the true small village feel.... great place but we feel it should be disclosed in listing. Property recently renovated.... needs more items to feel homey ie. extra towels

1. Rented a 2 bedroom/2 bath villa but host only had 1 bedroom and 1 bath unlocked???? WE SHOULD GET $$$ CREDITED! 2. No blankets.... Asked for blanket and got an extra sheet. PLUS - Broken hair dryer. New one arrived on last day. 3. Hot water heater not on when arrived. Had to take cold shower 4. Some man was on property early in morning... not told about 5. Not 600 steps or short walk to amalfi center/beach.... another local man said 1800 steps??? very uneven steps and a killer 30 minute walk down. We did not walk up.... very hard climb. 6. Need scooter to get around.... should have been in listing. 7. Left wrong size coffee POD which we went crazy trying to figure out how to use???? Next time just do not leave any. 8. Also..... City tax listed as 1 rate and host said it was another rate??? still don't know who is right. Very new to Hosting business.... this comes from a couple that owns rental properties. Nice place but you need to know what you are getting into.

Being from the UK and currently living in Australia, we didn’t quite know what to expect when visiting the Amalfi Coast for the first time as we have traveled to many countries over the years. However, we were warmly welcomed by the owners of the property, Asia and Vincenzo. Vincenzo generously shared with us his passion for Amalfi through his interactions with us and helpful recommendations. We gained invaluable insight into the best places to eat and visit through our meaningful interactions with him. My partner and I have had the trip of a lifetime. Not only did we enjoy Amalfi in all of it’s glory; the location of the property enabled us to embrace Italian culture amongst the locals away from the hustle and bustle of the centre. The apartment is situated in the hills above Amalfi which we accessed via our rental car. However, a scooter would be preferred mode of transport amongst the narrow and winding roads. You can walk into Amalfi taking the steps from the apartment (which is approximately 10 minutes). The apartment itself was newly renovated, clean, marvellously presented, comfortable and the view was simply OUT OF THIS WORLD. We highly recommend to all of our friends, family members and even you strangers to BOOK THIS APARTMENT. If we could rate our trip out of 10 we would give it a 12. Vincenzo, we cannot thank you enough for your genuine care and kindness throughout our time in your beautiful home town.
