Carriage 1 - Coalport Station Holidays

The carriage is in a beautiful location. It is a quirky idea and the children loved it.

My partner did bring up our concerns to the owners but we so feel like people need to know..... Would not recommend!! The carriage smelled of damp and felt unclean. The toilet had visible stains and there were mouse traps under the sink. The door was jammed, which raised safety concerns, and the fire door step was rotten. There were holes in the windows, no proper heating so it was very cold, and the beds were uncomfortable. I’m sharing this to help warn future families, as we did not feel safe during our stay. We did bring this to the attention of the owners, there was nothing in the way of an apology just passing of the book and excuses..

Really fun novelty experience, the hosts were lovely, there's an outdoor area that would be lovely in the summer. There's a few nice pubs around the train.

Beds could be a little more comfortable and it was a little cold. I'd definitely stay again but in the spring or summer.

Very friendly helpful owners. Beautiful area.

It had been snowing heavily, which obviously the owners cannot do anything about.

Liked the little touches when we arrived, Christmas lights on in the carriage, some biscuits etc. Setting was great, such an unusual place to stay. Really cosy. Lots of space inside. Host was really helpful when I asked about something.
