Carriage 1 - Coalport Station Holidays

We stayed in carriage 1, We loved everything!, it was in a lovely area, friendly and very helpful station master who was fabulous with our 9 and 5 year old. It was central to the surrounding areas of interest. Easy to use facilities. Washer/dry and disher included. Two bathrooms and a lovely jacuzzi in the main bathroom perfect after all the walking. Parking area allocation. Very clean and well maintained. Peaceful walks along the pathways. Helpful and very friendly people in the towns. Aldi and Lidl about a 10min drive from here to top up on any shopping needed. The local pubs especially The shakespeare Inn have great food and friendly staff, just make sure to book before hand as they are very busy. Great family get away. Will be recommending to family and friends and will hopefully be visiting again in the future. Thank you for looking after us.

There was nothing we didn't like about this holiday place. But can we add when booking on booking.com their email confirmation was abit confusing with the key code and pin for the duration of our stay. If this could be clarified with the booking number and add the key code in with this please for future visitors.

Such a wonderful unique place to stay, it was a brilliant treat for my train mad children! Really comfy accommodation and lots of thoughtful touches

Location was amazing, being in the valley with wonderful countryside all around you. Close to Telford which was ideal for our needs. Good shower. Outdoor space, good size patio table and chairs. Steve was really nice and welcoming, with stories of the train carriages history. Kindly let us leave in our own time on the last day of our stay as no other guest were checking in.

Another dinning chair as there were 6 in our party and only 5 chairs. If being picky a few soft cushions on the settee would have added a bit more comfort. A shelf or bedside unit in the twin rooms would be useful. Weather was good, but it still got a little cold at night and early morning, the small heater took a while to warm the living space. The Aircon didn't seem to be working on the heat function, but that could have been user error on our part.

Location was stunning and accomodation was quirky,,, The grand daighters loved it! Excellent local eateries and within a short walk / drive to numerous 'things to do'.
