Maraetai -Kererū Cottage - Whole House

The facilities are modern and extremely clean. The area is so quiet and peaceful, despite there being neighbouring properties it feels extremely private. Its nice walking distance to beach and parks.

Coming in to colder seasons, we found The bedroom was hard to keep warm as the AC is at the opposite and higher end of the property.

Location was perfect for us - very private and quiet. Home was lovely and clean. Would definitely stay again. Great communication.

Water pressure in shower was a bit weak for what we are used to and the bed could do with an upgrade but these are just being a bit nit picky. All-in-all we loved it and would stay again

Wonderful house, walkable to beach and food, beautiful decorative touches, had everything.

The location is great.Just a small walk to the beach and restaurants. The cottage was spotless clean and had all the facilities needed for a short stay.

Just personally for us, none of the furniture was comfortable to sit on and the bed was very uncomfortable. Also be prepared to wake up early due to top window not having any blinds or curtains so light starts coming in around 5 30am

Spacious, comfortable, light, clean and a design I really liked. Built on a slope, the split level, open-plan design with bathroom and bedroom (leading on to the deck) on the lower level, gives the place character, interesting perspectives and projects overall spaciousness, while distinguishing two distinct spaces ...one more private and one more public. The small wooden deck, elevated 6-7 feet off the bottom of the slope, provides a beautiful little private, sun-trap sanctuary, surrounded by an array of colourful trees and bird-life. It's a 400 metre walk down to a beautiful beach, edged with rows of stunning Pohutakawa trees, with several great cafes and restaurants on the foreshore capping it all off. I didn't have the time, but I understand that there are excellent nature trails also within walking distance of the cottage.
