Rating: 2/10 I needed time to sit and write this because the experience was genuinely disappointing. I booked a 2-night stay via Booking.com, with the booking managed by Voye Homes. Upon arrival, I was asked to make 100% upfront payment, which is highly unusual and unprofessional in the hospitality industry, especially after an online booking confirmation. I was traveling with my wife and a 3-year-old child. Anyone familiar with Ooty knows that temperatures during this season drop below 10°C. Despite this, the property does not provide room heaters. Instead, we were offered an “additional blanket” as a solution. This resulted in an extremely uncomfortable and cold stay, particularly concerning given that a small child was with us. There was zero consideration for guest comfort or basic climate needs. Hospitality was practically non-existent. Simple courtesies like “Are you comfortable?”, “How was your stay?”, or “Do you need anything?” seem completely absent from their vocabulary. The resort manager / front desk person was rude and lacked even basic manners. Frankly, someone with this attitude should not be in the hospitality business at all. To make matters worse, used plates and utensils from room service were left outside our room for an entire day, with food remains rotting, emitting a foul smell, and cats coming and licking the plates. This is unhygienic and unacceptable. I even had to personally tell them to remove the plates — something that should never be a guest’s responsibility. I have photos documenting this. The only reason this place gets a 2 instead of a 1 is the natural surroundings. Everything else — service, warmth (both literal and figurative), professionalism, hygiene, and guest care — was far below acceptable standards. I would not recommend this place, especially for families or anyone expecting basic hospitality.

Architecture and ambiance are exquisite.

Dining area roof needs to be sealed — in the morning, mist drops fall on the food while having breakfast. Also, adding a few more options to the breakfast menu would be appreciated.

Since the guests are new to the place or the location, sometimes emergencies do arise at any moment of the day. I asked for a matchstick at 11:30PM, but was denied by the staff saying not the right time to ask for assistence.
