"Needs some attention to be ready for guests"

Location is nice. Apartment has nice finishes. Good TV setup. Safe parking.

Decent apartment, but poor level of hosting and a complete disregard for the needs of the tenant. We booked the apartment for a weekend stay, clearly indicating that we would be three people. We arrived finding only a sheet provided for the third person. No duvet, no pillows, no blanket. The air conditioning had no remotes. It's Winter. Raising these concerns to the hostess, we were told ‘her hands were tied’. We gave her solutions and yet no action was taken. We phoned the owner and he ‘could not reach his hostess to address the issue’, and was ‘caught unprepared for the needs of a third person’. They could not understand that without AC, a single sheet, a spare empty duvet cover for the main bed, a dirty, threadbare throw and taking pillows from the main bed where others need them would not be sufficient for the cold. This was the main concern - insufficient bedding for a third person, no AC and a lackadaisical hosting style that left a lot to be desired. We were told to ‘chill’. Yes, thank you, due to the cold, one of us sure did. We were told that 'some guests have higher expectations than others'. Yes, our expectations are 100% that when we book for three people there should be bedding for three people. If that's 'too high' a level of expectation than so be it. Beyond that: Poor directions to the property via pre-scheduled messaging Directions map link does not take you to the property, which is at the end of the street, but to the middle of the street (Where there are nicer apartments) Slow or no response via Booking.com messaging (before the bedding issues was raised and we could communicate via Whatsapp) Long wait for the hostess to show up when checking in, even after having confirmed the arrival time Floors were sticky, doubt about the cleanliness Loose floor tiles in the bathroom The property’s management was sub par and we cannot recommend it in good conscience.

Location is good.

Front door lock doesn't work. Place needs a really good PROFESSIONAL clean. Smells of cigarettes. Early arrival had been agreed upon but a few hours before, we received a message saying it wouldn't be ready. We assumed previous guests had caused the delay, but on our arrival we found the owner had been staying there & was still in the apartment with his bags etc. It didn't feel like accommodation for travellers, but rather as if we were staying in someone's home. We did not feel comfortable.
