Polar Cozy Apartment - With View and Free parking

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay here. Access to the apartment was via a lock box and we were left to ourselves throughout. The apartment was silent, so easy to rest well. Everything we needed was there, including a kitchen and dining space. It was possible to see the northern lights from the apartment. Communication with Martha was excellent and exceptional throughout, including how to reach the property from the airport by bus. The apartment is a short walk from a supermarket, and a short and cheap bus journey from the town centre (there's an app that allows you to buy bus tickets online). There were cross-country ski trails within walking distance. Overall, everything was perfect and we would love to go back there.

Martha was a lovely host and communicated with us well for our arrival and departure. Martha lives on the top floor as the accommodation is down the stairs to the right, so is available if anything is needed. Polar Arctic View was nice and comfortable and very warm, which coming from Australia and it being minus 15 degrees we needed. Beds are comfy although they don't have pillows like we do in Australia but you get used to them. The accommodation is out of town so we caught taxis in and out each day and to the cable car. Cable Car is on the same side of accommodation.

We didn't hire a car so were relying on taxis throughout our stay. The Blue taxis were recommended which you book through an app. You need to confirm via a text message so ensure your e sim can do this. It is a little bit of a walk to the grocery store and if you're staying in December like us you will be walking in the dark and carrying groceries back, but it wasn't too bad and we were up for the walk but it meant we couldn't get everything we wanted in one go.

Excellent design, great comfort, good location.

Unfortunately for the 25th and 26th, almost all restaurants are closed or fully booked. Even grocery stores are closed. No food available. It would be a good idea to inform tourists that Norvegians close everything during Christmas time.

Nothing

Easy to reach apartment in residential area. We found bus line 24 goes direct from airport, stopping nearby. All facilities are there, it's warm, good shower, and some basics for drinks and cooking like coffee, tea, oil, etc. It was very private, we never saw the host but they were very responsive to emails. The ice cathedral is in walking distance but you can take a bus too.

It was smaller than we'd anticipated. There was a humming heatpump next to the house, which made everything in the place rattle a little and difficult to sleep.

Everything was just perfect. The host was very sweet. The location was amazing. The place felt cozy and warm. It had beautiful views of the city.
