Chic duplex maisonette in Valletta centre-DDEM1-4

De locatie was perfect voor het verkennen van Valletta. Dichtbij de restaurants en leuke barretjes. Alles was aanwezig wat je nodig hebt voor een heerlijk verblijf in Valletta.

De benedenverdieping een beetje te donker...er was maar 1 klein raampje

Great location.

Walls were moldy and there was a smell of mold throughout the apartment. Everything you touched was damp, including the bedding, towels, pillows. For our 3 day stay, we got 1 towel each and when we asked for additional towels, they told us that we could get them for an extra charge ( in an apartment that costs 400 euros). The noise from the street is very loud, with cars driving fast and noisily, which makes it difficult to sleep. We did not feel comfortable in the apartment and I would not recommend staying here due to mold, lack of cleanliness and very loud enviroment.

This comment is not for the property in Valletta, because they changed our reservation the day before the trip. But since then, nothing was fine with the accomodation.

First, it looks like a scam. But you can decide. First, the booking was changed from the property. Thus, the administrator offered me the option to change the accomodation. It happened the day before the trip, so no many options. I asked for properties in Valletta with similar characteristics and amenities, and she (the administrator) said that there were no more properties. Therefore, we took one at Sliema. Remember that I asked for similar characteristics and amenities. The first thing that we noticed in the new property was that the TV couldn't connect to the plug, because the cable was too short. No electrical extension connected or anything. That means that there was no TV. Then, the Internet connection did not work. And one of the desks was broken. The rest, specially the kitchen, was brand new. Also the bathrooms. But it seems that both of them have leakages in the sinks. I sent a message to the admin telling about the Internet and the desk. She then told me that she would fix the Internet issue. Next day, she didn't send any message. I had to ask about the Internet. She told me that she was going to check (I believe that she checked just because I asked again). She told me that for the owner there was nothing wrong with the connection. So no Internet. Then, next day she offered me another property to move, because of the lack of amenities, but she should check the Internet at the flat we were. She "checked" and told us that we could move. When we decided to go, mysteriously, the property was not available anymore. So she offered us another property. She told me that she was going to check the new property by herself. And then she allowed the relocation. We went there, and the property was completely dirty, the beds were unmade, a completely mess. Why did she say that she went to check that flat by herself? Perhaps she doesn't care about the visitors.

Comfortable, great location, good amenities, towels, bedding etc.

The shower wasn't very nice and the wooden board smelt musty and damp.

The reserved apartment had a fault, so I got a new one - bigger, nice and in the quite the same location. I can't comment the "Chic duplex maisonette", but the owner was correct.

I had problems with the front door opening and the owner was not very helpful and fast responding.

The location is unbeatable and the apartment is beautiful, well decorated and comfortable. Has everything you need.

The long 5 page inventory and price list of what you'll be charged should anything go wrong is very off putting. It made us feel like we had to walk on eggshells and we found it hard to relax. First night (Saturday) our smoke detector batteries died and it was chirping so the hosts said to take the batteries out and someone would replace on Monday, but no one ever came and we were there until Wednesday. We didn't push the matter.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable with everything required for a perfect stay. City centre location was perfect.
