The Loft, NEW, Stylish Maisonette, Central, Private Location

The apartment is in a great location in the centre of town but it’s still fairy quiet at night. The decoration is very nice and tasteful with everything looking new and clean.

Unfortunately the shower was broken so we had to use the bath which was a bit of a pain, especially when trying to wash my hair. The internet is really bad so the TV is bad too and just drops out when you're watching. Also, the coffee pods for the machine can only be bought online so they should either provide a pack or swap to a standard Nespresso machine.

Perfect location, beautifully quiet. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable, warm, welcoming. Easy to follow instructions. Central yet so peaceful. Ideal place to stay when visiting Lewes. Nice decor, everything you could possibly need to enjoy a stay in Lewes.

Everything was good. You need to be athletic to use the spiral staircases.

Comfortable and warm apartment which was well appointed. There are two flights of spiral stairs. One from the internal front door to the first bedroom, bathroom and lounge / kitchen and then a further to the top bedroom. A bit cumbersome with luggage.

The Loft is a brilliant place to stay, when in Lewes. The location could not be better: central, near to everything a visitor needs - large supermarket, shops, market, and it is on a pedestrian, quiet street. The place is tastefully furnished, thinking of lots of details, making it very homely. The kitchen looks very nice, too and is well equipped for all one needs, to eat in. The heating system is excellent, as well. Indeed, the staircases, leading up to the Loft, are not for disabled people, but we are well in our 70s and had no problems with it. The instructions sent to us made it easy to find the place, and get in. We are regular Glyndebourne ‘addicts’, and plan to come soon, staying definitely in the Loft, again!! We felt here very much ‘at home’ in this place! Thank you!

Negative: lack of ordinary tv channels, without 'app complications', is an minor issue. Netflix is a big plus, though! Other than that: absolutely nothing negative, at all!! Brilliant place!!

Great location right in the centre of Lewes. Seemed well looked after and very tidy.

Basic instructions for the microwave would have helped avoid trial and (lots of) error. A warning about the TV might have meant I brought my Netflix password with me, but not a problem for a couple of nights. Both very minor issues in this case.

We never really saw the actual property as there was a 2-3 story spiral staircase to get to the actual living area and I was not able to climb the staircase.

Outside 2story medal staircase that was slippery and wet from rain. 2-3 story spiral staircase to get to the living area. I’m 79 y/o with a 40 lb suitcase and I couldn’t get up the spiral stairs with my luggage. I have rented Air B&Bs a lot and have never had to cancel.
