The breakfast offering and evening dinner was good. The views from the balcony once we switched our room was good.

We changed rooms as the first room wasn't clean. The second was moderately better, still dusty, and the bathroom smelt of damp/blocked drain. The bedding was stained. The manager had directly messaged me but without acknowledgement of who he was, so when I didn't reply they got shifty about our confirmation (even though it was confirmed on booking.com) they also had no record of receiving my deposit from 2 months prior and I had to 'prove' that the transaction had been done. 3x people "managing" reception talking over each other. When asked how I'd like to pay I replied, credit card. To which he kept asking if I was sure as there would be a charge. I said yes and then when my partner came into the room he asked him, to which my partner said credit card and then he spoke to another "manager" and he asked us again. Was infuriating and somewhat belittling of my choice to pay with a credit card even whilst knowing there would be a charge. On our checkout the card machine wasn't working to which we were blamed for (despite all other international transactions working everywhere else) my partner told him to restart the card machine and it worked. The rooms really need a good clean and update. It has the potential to be a really nice place to stay.
