BIRDS EDGE COTTAGE - Luxury 2 Bedroom Cottage with Amazing Views, Near Holmfirth in Yorkshire

On the whole the property was very good. Just some small niggles. There were only 2 teaspoons and for a cottage that is definitely for 4, that was not the best. We also had to clean 3 saucepans before use. People shouldn't have to do this. We will use this property again despite these small niggles.

Very “ homey “ feel to it. House is finished to a very high standard, and the neighbours were lovely.

I have Sky TV at home but didn't expect to find exactly the same when staying away, and with an even bigger TV too! The kitchen was exceptionally well furnished for all sorts of self-catering. The temperature was also really easy to control.

The external doors were quite stiff to open & close, as was the keybox. But none of this detracted from a lovely stay.

Everything! The place is stunning. We spent the weekend in relaxing and cooking and taking the odd stroll through the beautiful surrounding areas. The property had everything we needed and was fully equipped. Even down to a guest account on every app Netflix prime etc the beds were super comfy. There was 4 of us and each of us enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning. I'm so glad I found this place. I had a wonderful birthday break.

The cottage is ideally located in a quaint village within driving distance of Holmfirth. This cottage is outstanding with all facilities and an exceptionally well equipped kitchen, which was a godsend as we love to cook. Will definitely be back but for longer next time.

The dining area was bright and airy with good views, the kitchen was a good size and had nearly everything we needed, the bathroom was stunning, the beds really comfortable. The board games were an unexpected bonus.

Some casserole dishes with lids would have been useful that we could use in the microwave. A hand rail for the lower part of the stairs would have felt safer. We enjoyed the biscuits on arrival, but a small bottle of milk would have been handy, even a long life carton.

Absolutely beautiful location and so in love with the traditional look of the cottage from the outside with the modern but cosy interior. Felt like staying in luxury but with a homely feel. Everything was absolutely perfect from the gorgeous bathroom, the cosy bedrooms, living room to the spacious kitchen. The garden was stunning too although very windy when I stayed, so didn’t get to spend much time there. Clearly a lot of work has gone into making Birds Edge Cottage such a lovely place to stay, and it shows, worth every penny and wish we’d stayed longer but will definitely be making it our prime staycation spot!
