Above & Beyond Houtbay

Wonderful size apt, great views. Loved the additional security door inside. Comfy, beds were great which was such a great bonus! Large fridge, kitchen was dated but had everything we needed. Hosts communication was amazing, we had a water burst due to a bust pipe in the area due to a major storm and they kept us updated constantly, can’t fault the service of the host. Car was behind and electric gate. It was nicely furnished, and just feel comfy. This place is a goodie!

I am nitpicking for something here. Gas bottle was empty so we couldn’t use the oven and the kettle leaked but these are minor things and there was a microwave and stovetop so all good. But we advised the host we would use the alternatives so not really a negative and I am sure they would have fixed it asap if we asked but we told them it was ok. So in saying this, these things really can’t be seen as a negative. Fab place overall, recommend booking this place for families heaps of room! And super secure!

Odd security arrangements.

Lovely view in a quiet location. Attractive decor. Useful equipt, eg ice bucket, washing machine. Some additional security measures

Cleaning and maintenance were below standard, eg wobbly chair legs, door locks difficult to operate, cracked tiles, falling hatch surround.

This is the third time we use this appartment.and we appreciate the stunnig view over HoutBay and the mountains. The apartment has large rooms plenty of space and new this year a very good backup system during load sheding

The locks in doors and windows are very basic and outdated
