"Poppy's Lodge."

Great Hosts! Really lovely and peaceful little place to stay. Nice lodge, very well equipped, the hosts Angela and Steve have really thought of everything you could possibly need. The welcome hamper was a nice surprise. We had a lovely time and loved the quietness and tranquility of the location. A great place to stay if you need to unwind.

I would say don't be put off by first impressions. Poppy's Lodge looks a bit weather worn from the outside, but it's lovely and welcoming on the inside, like a home from home. There wasn't anything we didn't like.

"A comfortable stay but we were disappointed."

The caravan was clean.

The advertised pub and restaurant was no longer trading. The welcome basket which was also advertised and mentioned on their welcome laminate also was missing. Basic repairs were also needed to the caravan, for example, one of the gas rings didn't work, the shower head holder was broken and partially taped together, there was a hole in the kitchen units under the sink and the little freezer in the fridge has a broken door so we couldn't use this facility properly. Overall, the caravan was clean but felt a little disappointed.

"Cute, good value for money retreat"

The accommodation was cute and spacious enough for our family of 3. The kitchen was fully equipped and the beds were comfortable. The area is a great location. It's out of the way and peaceful but near enough local amenities. Plenty of storage which was fabulous Outside area was incredibly cute and pretty. Value for money was great.

There was no WiFi, we were only there for a couple of nights and were out all day so this wasn't too much of an issue for us however if you were staying longer then your data will get eaten up.

Everything was an amazing stay from check in to check out was perfect had everything we needed and more. Was greeted by hosts on arival and shown around. Was left a basket with bread milk juice cereal and jam. Was very peaceful. Had plenty of space with and outside area closed off. Tv and dvd player with plenty dvds to choose from. Thankyou for a great stay. Will visit again soon 😁
