Not really as described. First thing it's a basement, right by a busy road with no double glazing and loud people/cars going past all night then starting again at 5am! Lady who runs the place is CONSTANTLY poking about the “private apartment” using the kitchen to cook family meals, which won't be offered to you. Very uncomfortable and I was trapped in my room for hours just waiting for her to leave, the other choice was awkward 30 min “chat” in her terrible English or be rude…. practically starved waiting for her to leave so I could go out. Worst thing is whenever owner is around, at least 2-6 hours a day, she's fighting with someone on the phone at top volume or playing terrible music really loud. When I arrived, the owner and her angry looking daughter were just hanging around the apartment shouting at each other for 2 hours….bad vibes all round. Bathroom is falling apart, sink practically falling off the wall and water never drains after a shower despite sweeping water towards the drain because the floor doesn't slope towards the drain so IT STINKS and your feet get wet…. whoever tiled it is an idiot. Staircase at the entrance is a deathtrap, no lights on a very steep winding rock hard staircase (guess how I know it's rock hard…yes I slipped down it smashing my head and back) with no hand rail. Lights on a sensor, anti slip strips and a damn handrail would be an idea. Breakfast was basic af 1 fried egg, pancakes and some questionable olives and yesterday's bread, if it cost more than 10MAD to put together I'd be shocked. Worst thing is YOU CAN'T GET BREAKFAST BEFORE 9AM…unless you op for a cold breakfast made night before, which is the same breakfast just left to go cold however the egg is a boiled to death, so much so that it has a grey yolk, rather than fried. Half way through my stay my room seems to have been “gone through” not sure what they were hoping to steal.

Absolutely fantastic place. A warm welcome and a beautiful building with beautiful Morrocan decor. Easy to find in a quite area but a short walk to the medina and historic centre. Breakfast was tasty. I was very happy to find this beautiful place to stay.

I loved everything

We had a wonderful experience! Norah was super attentive to everything four our confort, and we loved her house and her smile. Ww also had a delicious dinner with her. We wish you all the best! Keep smiling :)

Maybe a bit far away of Blue Gate but on a quiet side of the Medina.

Pretty much everything. Nora is a sunshine, shes was there when needed something.
