Villa Maiteren Etxea- 4 Beds property with private pool

Great location. eric was very helpful, friendly and communicative.

We stayed in Henrique's apartment and really enjoyed our time there. We are a family of six, and there was plenty of space for all of us, with nice and large bedrooms, lots of bathrooms, very nice common areas, and outdoor space. The kids enjoyed the pool, and we soaked up the sun from the edge. The house was clean and tidy when we arrived. The house had all the equipment we needed and more. On the TV, we could watch local Norwegian channels, so we were able to follow the cross-country skiing World Championship :) There was a really large selection of channels. The kitchen was nice and also well-equipped. We think the area where the house is located is great. It’s was a 30 min walk to the town center and we preferred walking to get some exercise and fresh air. The kids occasionally took the local bus, which passed quite close to the house. We went on a few hikes up the volcano located just behind the house. It’s a short and easy hike, about a kilometer up and maybe a kilometer around. There are some shops near the house, but we preferred the larger stores located in the town center, and we went to Lidl once, which is about a half-hour walk from the house. When we arrived at the apartment, we were greeted by Eric, who is a neighbor and acted as the host. Eric is very friendly, and it was easy to get in touch with him during our stay. Both Eric and Henrique use WhatsApp for communication, which worked very well. We are very happy with our stay and would love to come back and stay in the same place the next time we visit Playa Blanca.

The villa was amazing. Spacious and luxurious with 4 large bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, very well equipped kitchen, conservatory, private pool, roof terrace, BBQ and, to top it off, an outside pool table... Fantastic. Henrique, the owner, was incredibly helpful and even found and booked a restaurant for our Christmas lunch which was much appreciated. There was also a small hamper of goodies and a bottle of sparkling wine in the fridge as an arrival gift. Eric, who lives next door, was available to help any time and came and serviced the pool on two occasions while we were there. The villa is located in a quiet estate with secure gates. Each property is very secure and provides a lot of privacy. The estate also benefited from a small local shop located directly opposite the entrance road which was very handy. And to top it all off, we had full sun, blue sky and a temperature of over 20 degrees for the full week we were away. We were swimming in the pool on Christmas day. Amazing...

It was a little bit further from the beach front compared to the last time we stayed in Playa Blanca but, for most of us, the walk was only 30 mins and no problem. There's also a regular town bus that's really easy to use and drops you off nearby.

The kitchen was well-equipped, bedrooms were large with en-suites , the living areas had plenty of seating for everyone with a separate pool table area and bbq cooking area with separate space for dining or a quiet place to chill. The heated pool was fantastic We were near the base of the volcano, which was brilliant for walking Henrique and Aisling were amazing hosts and gave us super recommendations for restaurants. Communication was superb from beginning to end. Many thanks, and thank you to Eric, who let us into the house and was very kind.

This is the 2nd time we've stayed at the villa, and Henrique, the added extras you've done since you took ownership was an excellent addition to the trip.
