7 on Bantry Apartments

We were went by a representative and he gave as keys and showed around. Everything was smooth. Communication with us during the stay was quick. The personel of the property was professional.

Location is second to none, 1 block away from the sea, safe quiet side road and a 5 minute walk to restaurants, shops etc. Facilities- everything you need, nice and clean, cosy and a nice little balcony too. Security guards (Qhula and Selani) deserve extra praise for being super friendly and helpful. Great place, if you fancy a quiet slice of Cape Town, this is the place to stay. I would 100% stay again.

Excellent location, walking distance of beach, shops and restaurants. Apartment was very secure.

I received an email asking for R5,000 deposit and full payment of the apartment. I paid the deposit and sent an email confirming payment of the deposit and full payment of the accommodation. I then received a further email requesting payment for the accommodation, I had to send a second email confirming full payment of the accommodation before it was acknowledged payment had been made. The fire alarm went off three times during our stay. Once at at 2-2.30 am, 19:30 and then a third time, although not triggered by any event in our apartment. It was very loud and shouldn't have sounded in the whole building. There was no remote to the parking gate. Security opened the gate when we got to our car, but it closed by the time we put on our seat belts so some-one had to get out of the car and go to reception (the only time it opened was when we were ready to go on the final morning and it was a new security guard). The gate didn't open when we arrived back at the apartment and some-one had to get out of the car to ask for it to be opened. We paid a cleaning fee but the apartment was not cleaned at all during our stay.

We have stayed in other units in the same building. This was the worse. There is only air conditioning in the bedroom but not the living room. The living area is unpleasant when the weather is hot. The apartment was not cleaned properly. There was a damp smell from 1 of the cupboards. The shower smelt like burnt hair and was not clean. There were not enough pillow cases (3) for the pillows (6). We could not use the parking because the garage remote did not work. So had to park in the street. Parking is big reason for choosing this property. We contacted the property management company to numerous times to resolve these issues, but unfortunately our requests were dismissed, which ruined our stay.

Great stay , security were amazing and very helpful.definitely coming back .

The Agent didn’t even pitch had to tell me where to get the keys over the phone, didn’t make time nothing even at check out. But At least the deposit was reimbursed in full.
