Birkenshaw - Beautiful Shepherd’s Hut in the Highlands.

A peaceful spot with a warm welcome. Having the fire ready to lit if necessary, and it was nice of the hosts to provide a local gin and fab shortbread biscuits. I braved the outside shower and it was wonderful! Thank you, Anna and Steve, for a lovely stay.

Beautiful, cosy shepherd's hut in gorgeous, peaceful surroundings. The sustainable lifestyle aspect of the accommodation is inspiring. Perfect place to recharge. Hosts were so welcoming and the personalised touches made it feel extra special. Thank you Anna and Steve for making it such a wonderful place to experience.

Beautiful and unique place to stay. We were made very welcome and right at home. The hut had such a cosy vibe and it was lovely with the fire on.

We had a wonderful stay at Birkenshaw Shepherds Hut! The location was perfect for us as it was along our NC500 route. The facilities were great and the Shepherds Hut was fantastic! We especially loved the log fire. Anna and Steve couldn’t be more welcoming as hosts. We were only staying for one night but they gave us lots of useful information and recommendations. The project that they’ve created is amazing and we can’t wait to see them progress with it! Thank you both for a lovely stay.

A stunning shepherds hut in an equally stunning location, very cosy and decor fantastic. we loved the quirky outside shower and had all facilities needed. would definitely recommend

it’s a beautiful off grid sustainable hut that refreshes your sole. All the little touches made our stay memorable. Having the fire lit, local gin and a homemade treat was wonderful to walk into.
