Convenient 3BR Flat on Leith Walk

Nothing really very poor standard

Beds had dirty sheets the to had no remote control so did not work the cutlery in the drawer was dirty there was rubbish in the bedside drawer overall the flat was in an extremely poor state would not recommend staying here until the flat has had a deep clean

Its well placed, a decent coffee shop and Tesco Extra across the road. Decent shower and hot water, beds were fine and clean linen. Prompt communications from the management company

Its very basic indeed, no where to sit together. It is in essence 3 beds and a galley kitchen in a clean flat of tired decor and ad hoc furnishing. There are a pile of policies received a couple of days before checkin - why not put them on the website? Including a request for a security deposit of £250

Dusty smell, and no dining space

Positives The flat is very good value for three double bedrooms. It is clean enough and perfectly workable. Kitchen has fridge, washing machine, crockery and cooking equipment - there's an amazing number of food prep knives for some reason. It's right on a busy street with lots going on. Great cafes, shops, pubs, supermarkets very close by. Easy walk into Leith, longer walk into Edinburgh proper. Very well situated for trams and buses with routes to all areas of Edinburgh close by. Negatives The flat is quite run down, some of the furniture is broken or just about to break. We used a bed and a chest of drawers for meals as there's no furniture to eat on in the kitchen space - would suggest a fold up table and chairs might be useful. The TV is not useable as is - there's no remote control, aerial or smart capability - although we managed to use it at a very basic level because we had brought our Fire stick along with us. We saw lots of complaints in other comments about lack of cutlery but it wasn't that big a deal to go to the nearby Tesco store and buy a set for £4. Would have been nice if the landlord had done that but whatever.

The location was great, easy to access, good communication with the renting service, a lot of space, three beds to choose from, warm water and heating and a kitchen you can work with. I can’t agree with the bad reviews, yes it’s not premium flat and don’t except too much but it’s okay.

It’s true that the equipment and furniture is mostly old and uncomfortable but it was more than okay for us. Could have been more clean, but also really okay for us if you’re not planning to stay longterm.
