Terrible and horrible

I booked this property a week in advance, only to receive an email on the day of check-in saying the host had overbooked and was cancelling my reservation. This is completely unacceptable. A cancellation with zero notice left me scrambling to find alternative accommodation at the last minute, and unsurprisingly I had to pay significantly more because of the short notice. When you book an Airbnb, you expect a basic level of reliability. Having a host cancel on the day - due to something entirely within their control - shows poor organisation and a lack of consideration for guests. This experience caused unnecessary stress and additional expense, and I would strongly caution others to be aware of this risk before booking.
