Geel Heritage - A Restored Homestay Haveli

The owner of the property took great care while we were there with our parents. My family traveled from America and my in-laws were coming from Delhi. Both sets of parents really enjoyed their stay. The rooms are spacious and have everything one would need for their stay. The owner was able to arrange autos whenever we needed them, which was very convenient. The character of the havelli made it a very special stay. I am sure that as things continue to be finished, this property will get better and better. They're on the right track! The location was perfect. We did a lot of walking in the area and enjoyed all the shopping that is nearby. Overall, we would definitely recommend it to other travelers.

The room that we stayed in on the ground floor had a lot of noise from the entrance. Choose a different room if you need a quiet space. My parent's upstairs room was quiet. The havelli was still being remodeled so some things were not completely finished. We asked about snacks from the rooftop restaurant, but they didn't seem to have many choices. Additionally, the power was shut off to the rooms with a master switch from the outside. This included the refrigerator so everything that we kept in the fridge spoiled while we were out. Thankfully there was no medicine!

The only access was by auto rickshaw, not a huge problem. The staff were delightful, helpful and arranged additional transport options. I loved the effort put into making the rooms feel like a real 'haveli'.

Very nice staff and clean property, right in center of old city

Well-maintained and renovated old haveli. The rooms are just like the photos. Beautiful views of the fort. Excellent location, you can walk everywhere. Very friendly staff, they helped us with everything we needed.

The look and how the rooms were presented along with the history the owner shared with us. Very welcoming staff. Great location for where we needed to be for all our sightseeing. Lovely view of the Blue City from the rooftop breakfast / dining area.

Beautiful haveli with amazing views of the Fort. Location is spot on right in the middle of everything but still really peaceful and quiet, we slept really well. Staff were great and helpful, the young men were lovely and smiley ☺️

Some rooms have no natural light, we knew this before booking so didn't mind but just to be aware when booking Bolts on bedroom doors should be changed for quieter ones 😁

Good location Spacious room

Small toiletries - needed to ask for more. The bathroom got wet all over when someone had a shower. The bed was very hard so didn’t have the best of sleeps. The fridge has been left on the polystyrene so difficult to use - would be better if this could be removed as it took two people to open the fridge. Also lack of wifi on ground floor rooms.

Interesting property, with incredible views of the fort from the rooftop. That alone is enough for me to recommend the place. I am sure other properties have similar views, but it was amazing nonetheless. A little difficult to get to by car. You need to switch to an auto rickshaw or come by foot. It's about an 8 minute walk from the clock tower. The room and bathroom were spacious and well appointed. Good shower also. Mattress could be better but it was fine for the money paid. I liked that there was a table and chairs and plenty of storage space in the room.

The food is frankly awful. Whoever is cooking needs to stop. It takes a long time and is really bad for India. They need to hire a cook if they continue to offer food. The service was OK. They try hard and are very nice but there was a lot of toing and froing and nervousness. I speak perfect Hindi so it wasn't a language issue. The staffing and service levels definitely need improvement, but otherwise recommended.

Great location, clean and very friendly and helpful people. Would stay again here next time.
