The Fox Inn

We did not like anything about this Property . The reason we chose it was our Cousins had a Birthday Party in the Hall .

The Fox Inn was dirty . Carpets not clean or hoovered and threadbare . My Sister and her Husband hadn’t even had their Bins changed ( they were in Room 6 , we were in Room 4 ) and there was a soiled Sanitary Towel in one and Pubic Hairs in their Bed . They asked for new Sheets . Their Radiator was hanging off the Wall , so they propped that up with a Bin . The Staff had just put the fixingBrackets on a Window Seal . The plug for the Radiator and TV were on one socket , and they were just hanging down . When we went to bed , theBarman said , What time would you like Breakfast . The 4 of us said 9am . When we got downstairs , there was no Chef . We had to wait for her to arrive , at least an hour after 9 . She said I will lay everything out Buffet Style . There was no Cereal , Yoghurt or Fruit . My Sister and Brother in Law areVegetarians . The Buffet consisted of Scrambled Eggs , Tomatoes , Mushrooms , Sausages , Toast and Rock hard Bacon . Needless to say it was just about warm . We paid you £143 per Room on 24th October ( our stay was 2 nd November ) . I cannot remember ever paying in advance before . I presume on check out people would refuse to pay .

Nothing really, could do with some more milk in the rooms apart from that was great.

The bed was large and comfortable. The shower was large also

There was no milk for the tea/coffee and the nescaffe isnt to our taste

The staff were friendly and helpful.

The family room was of a poor standard. No windows apart from two Velux's, which let no light in and didn't fully shut or lock. The bathroom was shabby with tiles unfixed to the wall, and there was a very musty smell. We asked to be moved, and the staff were helpful. The pub itself feels tired and unloved, particularly the garden, which was very untidy and also smelled of sewage due to what I can only guess was an outside waste tank. There is constant noise from an outdoor speaker system, and the road which the pub is right next to is very fast and busy. This is not a relaxing countryside stay as the details would have you believe. We are very dissatisfied and will be asking for a part refund due to being moved to a less expensive room.
