The Polchar - Aviemore

The Polchar is absolutely gorgeous, was like something out of a fairytale! The garden was stunning and great for kids.

Some of the furniture/curtains could do with being replaced as they are a bit worn.

Allereerst de sfeer die het huisje uitstraalt. Dit wil je! De bedden liggen heerlijk en heel fijn dat we allemaal onze eigen badkamer hadden.

In een aantal van de douches leek de douchekop wat te zwaar voor de houder waardoor deze naar beneden bleef hangen en je de kop zelf moest vasthouden. Beetje onhandig, maar het ging wel. Ook vonden wij het lastig om met het fornuis te werken.

The beds were very comfortable and the house was warm and welcoming.

We arrived in the dark and it was very icy. There is no outside light at the front of the property which was unfortunate.

The house, the grounds, the facilities, hot tub, the size of the property and bedrooms/ living rooms and warmth- the place was absolutely fantastic, couldn't have found or asked for more for our Hogmanay trip. Kids and dogs especially loved the incredible spaces to roam and play areas and woods surrounding the house.

Nothing- any queries were addressed by Marco ahead of arriving and any questions when we were there were answered promptly. The weather was pretty heavy snow/cold when we were there (which was awesome) so we had to consider some additional stuff- snow-shovels, brushes etc that weren't in the house, but Marco promptly informed us where within the grounds/sheds to find what we needed.

Spent Christmas at the Polchar with my family and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very spacious with great amenities and cooking facilities. All the bedrooms were super comfortable and the bathrooms were very clean. Our stay was brilliant and couldn’t fault anything with The Polchar.

The accommodation is perfect, it is well equipped with everything possibly needed. It is very spacious and welcoming for families.
