Great house, beautiful location.

Lovely house with lovely grounds and all the things you’d look for. Comfy beds, clean, well stocked.

Check in is very late in the day. A few small things like batteries in remotes were dead, lightbulb out

Das Haus ist einfach zauberhaft. Es gibt überall etwas zu bestaunen, es ist urig, gemütlich und nahezu perfekt für ein Familientreffen! Der gesamte Garten ist ein Abenteuer für Kinder und wirkt ebenfalls wie verzaubert. Die Lage ist toll, inmitten der Natur voller Ruhe…einfach wundervoll in einem so historischen Haus für eine Zeit leben zu dürfen! Das Team vor Ort, was etwas reparieren musste war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Kontakt zu Marco war unkompliziert und hilfreich.

Leider war das Anwesen etwas ungepflegt. Die Bilder zeigen einen ausnahmslosen Zustand - in Wirklichkeit braucht es etwas mehr Liebe und Pflege der Beete. Wir haben recht viel Müll auf dem Grundstück gefunden. Ein zerbrochenes Fußballtor lag einfach so auf dem Rasen. Das Glas des Vormieters war noch da. Fensterscheiben im Haus sind gerissen und wurden nicht getauscht. In den Zimmern der oberen Etage sind die offenen Spitzböden voller Spinnweben. Wir mussten mehrfach wegen einer nicht funktionierenden Spülung mit der Hausverwaltung in Kontakt treten. Der Kontakt war grundsätzlich hilfreich, jedoch auch etwas fordernd. Es wurde eine Erreichbarkeit von uns vorausgesetzt (wegen des Schlüssels). Im Urlaub möchte ich mich um solche Dinge nicht kümmern müssen. Ein Ersatzschlüssel sollte beim Verwalter zur Verfügung stehen. Für diese Mankos wars die Unterkunft einfach zu teuer.

Spacious and in good location.

Lounge chairs not too comfy, lacked a few utensils (chopping boards, peeler, etc), some showers did not drain, grounds overgrown. Mostly minor things.

The Polchar was absolutely amazing. We loved it. The house was beautiful and wonderfully clean. It was charming, spacious and well equipped. The grounds were stunning and extensive. Really beautiful. Having the play area was amazing for our 16 month old daughter - it made our lives much easier! Location was fantastic - very easy to get to all the local attractions and countryside. The hot tub was lovely. Marco was very communicative and helpful. Will absolutely stay again. Could not recommend it more.

We loved the property. But some of the outside areas needed a bit of attention. There was a broken goal post on the lawn, some areas of the grounds taped off, and some of the play equipment needed some maintenance.

Everything! The house and gardens are gorgeous! The house is so comfortable, kitchen has everything you need, great location, my mother in law is a keen gardener this house stood out for us because of the beautiful gardens, she was very happy to potter about the garden during our stay and tend to a few of the plants and flowers. We had a lovely stay, the host even returned a left behind bag to us in the post. 5 star review from us.

Having to leave was the worst part of our stay.

Superb property. Beautifully set in amazing landscape. Well appointed, everything you might need. Kids loved it.

Not enough bin space. Bins were full all the time we were there.

Absolutely royal feeling to stay at this estate. Felt like a true laird :) House was huge, with ensuite bathrooms for every bedroom. Beds were extra soft and comfy. huge kitchen with all the appliances you could think of needing. Used the best barbecue grill for great food and outdoor jacuzzi for relaxing evenings. The BEST place to stay with extended family or friends! Recommended!

children's playground was a little worn down, but they still had fun.
