"Two in one cottage"

8.0

Dedicated parking right outside the cottage, well equipped kitchen, comfortable cosy sitting room. Novelty, two stair cases so very quiet bedrooms. Location is good, but up a hill if walking.

Freezer in utility desperately needs a defrost! Electric hairdryer over heats needs to be PAT tested.

"Lovely holiday cottage"

9.0

The cottage was immaculate, well located and had everything that you would need for a comfortable stay. The welcome pack was a very lovely touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely book another weekend in the future.

Nothing, everything was lovely.

Loved the set out of the cottage, it was clean and well furnished. Perfect for 2 couples. We knew there was no garden or outdoor area but we were out allot of the time anyway so that suited us.

The mattress on bed was comfy but you desperately need new pillows. Old, hard and lumpy, this made it uncomfortable to sleep for me. Other than that it was fine.

"Enjoyable place to stay to explore Bakewell & surrounding area."

7.0

The Cottage, whilst being very old, was perfectly clean & decorated to a good standard. The Beds were comfortable with good quality bedding. Everything was provided, the quality of the appliances was excellent in the kitchen, which ensures you have everything you need for a self catering stay. The welcome pack was very good. The smart TV & internet worked well. The cottage was exactly as described & provided quality, good value for money. The location was good with a short (up & down hill) to the town centre of Bakewell.

The large bathroom needs some maintenance, especially around the bath sealant & a glass shower door on the bath would elevate the hygiene levels from a curtain. The stairs cases are steep & narrow with care needed by everyone. Cars have to be parked right up to the cottage side as the road is narrow and is very busy during the day. The outside ‘yard’ whilst being quaint was tiny, dirty, slippy & no use. We took our dogs out early morning & late at night on the lead as there is no where to let them lose. We had a problem with possibly the boiler & heating system, being disturbed with a loud ‘banging’ which disturbed both our sleep & other dogs. We reported this to the owners who where happy to sort out.
