Unfortunately it was a hot evening and we had to close windows, the bathroom window opened onto the courtyard pub garden, the clients stayed late to midnight and after a few drinks they get louder and the language fruitier. If you have paying guests (£140) you expect a good night’s sleep. It would put me off returning in the summer months and cannot recommend to others, certainly with children. I was honest with the staff the following morning about my evening.

AULovely spacious ground floor room at this old coaching inn, right at the heart of a small village. It was full of character and very comfy. The original fireplace is now a little sitting nook, and the exposed beams, flagstone floors and original doors added appeal. We enjoyed our meal in the bar area and the staff were warm and welcoming. We slept soundly in the comfortable beds.
Parking nearby was challenging due to the popularity of the inn and the topography of the village - probably a common difficulty and something beyond their control.

Excellent , very friendly and professional on arrival. The room was beautiful and the decor was in keeping with the age of the building. The whole experience was wonderful and would definitely stay again.
GBThe rooms were quaint but well equipped with everything you need. The location was beautiful and lovely walks and very local to Yeovil. We ate in the restaurant and the food was 10/10! Don’t forget to get the onion rings!
The floor in the room was a bit cold underfoot but that’s all I can think of
USThis was a great pub. They have a skittles lane out back. The food and atmosphere were amazing
