Oak Ray La Ella Breeze

We had 2 nights here, in late June and had booked 2 rooms , for 4 of us.One room was OK, good view of Ella town and side view of Ella rock, the other room only had a town view.We had asked for good views. We were booking here as there was a rooftop pool, with better views, but didn't swim as the pool needed netting. The breakfast buffet was poor, overcooked, and had limited choice. When we mentioned this, the manager kindly offered the next days breakfast to be taken at Ella Breeze, the sister hotel opposite. To make amends for all our concerns, he gave us a bag of tea and packed a breakfast for our boys for our onward trip.

Amazing location in the middle of the strip and is within walking distance of two great hikes -- Little Adam's Peak and Lipton Seat. It is also very close to Seven Arches Bridge. The staff was very attentive and on top of things.

Because it is close to the strip, it can be loud for some guests.

Friendly staff Oak Ray GAP

Booked the Ella breeze and at reception they told us, very rude, that they were full and we needed to go to the Oak Ray Gap, right across the street. We got a moist old room with mould that smelled like I don’t know what … a lot of street noise, renovation works in the hotel, no hot water in the morning and no hot water pressure in the evening. Dirty sheets and towels. Breakfast was simple and not good. Seriously overpriced, paid 470 usd for 2 rooms 2 nights with breakfast… but got no sleep and clothes that smelled like a wet dog.

We stayed at Oak Ray La Breeze in Ella and overall had a pleasant experience, mostly thanks to the exceptional location and helpful staff. When we first checked in, our room was near the kitchen and unfortunately had a smell we weren’t comfortable with. We requested a change and the staff responded quickly and efficiently, moving us to a much better room without any hassle, very much appreciated! This property is ALL ABOUT LOCATION. It’s right in the heart of Ella, walking distance to all the lively spots, restaurants, and cafes. If you're looking to be where everything is happening, this is a great choice. The breakfast was a bit disappointing, food wasn’t hot, quite oily, and lacking variety (no cheese options). However, the staff’s hospitality made up for it including a lovely gesture of offering us tea at checkout. We’d stay again mainly for the prime location and friendly service.
