Gute Lage, geräumige Wohnung.

Die ganze Wohnung ist ziemlich heruntergekommen - vergilbte und schmutzige Wände, klebriger und dreckiger Fussboden und Teppich. Alle Handtücher und die Bettwäsche rochen muffig. Wäschetrocknersieb war vollgestopft mit alten Fusseln. Erst nach einer Sanierung der Wohnung wäre der verlangte Preis gerechtfertigt.

The apartment was very spacious, and had a great balcony. The heat worked really well, so that was nice coming back each night. The bus stop is right outside and the blue line is about a 20 min walk which is not bad at all! The host was very responsive to messages and accommodated our group great.

We didn’t realize that the property was on the third floor up a small spiral staircase.

The location is great, off of the busy street but still close to many restaurants and convenient for public transportation. Interior of the apartment was nicely decorated, cozy, and spacious. They had plenty of towels (including a makeup towel) and blankets to keep warm (we arrived on the coldest weekend so far this winter), plus the internal thermostat and water heated up quickly.

There were some minor structural things that can't really be changed: - I wish there were handrails going down the stairs from the 3rd floor; they're the narrow type I find easy to climb up, but hard to go down. - Bathroom floor is raised high enough in comparison to the regular flooring that both my husband and I stubbed our toes a couple times. Other small gripes: I also wish there was a water filter and/or some tea packets available. I personally didn't like the taste of the tap water, but it was a minor inconvenience for a short weekend stay. Additionally, after you use booking.com, you're required to input your credit card info and photo verification on another website in order to "confirm" the reservation.

I didn't have many expectations for this stay - having never been to Chicago, but this property was absolutely amazing!
