Breathtaking 360 degrees views including hints of the Milky Way and surrounding stars. Comfortable and spacious living accommodations. Super friendly and helpful hosts.

Slightly shorter drive time to Haleakala volcano than other locations available for my dates.

1. No privacy: You can hear the owners talking and cooking directly behind a thin roll-top shutter that separates their kitchen from the guest area — and they can hear you too. 2. Persistent messages about arrival time: They messaged me repeatedly, becoming increasingly insistent about my exact arrival time, even though I had already given them a rough window. 3. Awkward arrival: As soon as I arrived, they knocked loudly such that I felt I could not refuse. They immediately told me I would hear them at times. Their wanting to meet me in person, without any proper notice, explained why they had been so insistent about my arrival time. 4. Unsafe staircase: The steps overhang each other, giving less foot space and creating a trip hazard. 5. Strong cooking smells: Food odours, including fried bacon, filled the bedroom and guest area. Since guests aren’t allowed to use the stove or any hot plates, this was particularly unwelcome. 6. Sloping low ceiling in bedroom: The ceiling slopes above the bed, and I actually bumped my head when standing up after using the power points. 7. Small bench space: A sliding door restricts access to the bench beside the microwave and fridge; it really needs to be removed. 8. Lack of privacy from neighbours: The front of the property is in a built up suburban area where neighbours can see you in some guest areas. 9. Bar fridge not cold enough: Possibly to save electricity, the fridge turned my ice cream into a drink. 10. Daily entry by hosts: You aren't allowed to wash dishes in the nearby sink and must leave them in a box for the hosts to collect daily from your space. 11. Deliberately misleading owners [updated 29 Oct 25]: More than six weeks after my initial complaint, the owners have still refused to update the listing to truthfully reflect the lack of privacy. Conclusion: I would have chosen differently had I known the owners could be heard so easily, and that guests could be just as easily overheard.

Steve and Diane were fabulous hosts. They gave us tips on restaurants and things to do, with directions as well. They are very lovely people. Our room and entire area were fantastic. They were quiet, comfortable, spacious and had spectacular views. We thoroughly enjoyed spending the time here. Thank you. Sarah and Todd

海、ハレアカラを2階と屋上から見る景色は絶景です。 1階は広いリビング・ダイニングルームがあり、ベッドルームとトイレ・バスは2階にあります。キッチンはありませんが、2階のコーナーには電子レンジと小さめの冷蔵庫とコーヒーメーカーがあって、食器が数種類とスナックと冷蔵庫の中にペットボトルのお水も用意されていました。オーナーご夫妻の心遣いが感じられます。バスタブはありませんが、手で持てるシャワーヘッドがあるのは、うれしいです。麓のFoodland でつまみを買ってから行くことをお勧めします。

特に何も無いですが、夜になると結構寒いので着る物を持参してください。 ベランダで景色を見ながらディナーをするつもりでしたが、寒すぎて、部屋の中のダイニングでのディナーにしてしまいました。
