the two decks, one with a view toward Haleakala and one facing the sea, were so great! the place is in a cute residential neighborhood, at the top of the hill facing open space. the hosts are super friendly and helpful. less than one hour drive to Haleakala summit.

the king bed seemed a little short, but it was plenty wide and comfortable enough.

The location was perfect - so close to Haleakala, but quiet and relaxing. A true getaway.

My favorite things about this B and B was the wealth of suggestions on nearby restaurants, and the Maui guidebook left in the bedroom. Our snorkeling trip was cancelled, and we found the perfect substitute activities because the guidebook was available. I loved the super quiet location in a residential area. Just like my quiet home. I loved the lights of the valley, and the view across to the volcanic mountain. It was a treat to look through the skylights and see the stars at night.

Both my husband and I woke up very stiff both mornings. The bed was huge, but not as soft as we like. It was chilly in the evenings, but there was no obvious heat source. (I know it's Hawaii, but it was January and because of the elevation, the mornings were cold!--maybe provide warm bathrobes and slippers? I didn't expect to be cold in Hawaii.) The bathroom needs a fan. Breakfast was not included. Coffee and coffeemaker were available, but lacked instructions. It was nice to have herbal tea at bedtime.

It is a beautiful, spacious house, with great views, located in Kula, which gives good access to Haleakala Summit for the sunrise. The owners also live in the house, but the guest portion is cordoned off and felt private. The hosts were kind and helpful and made us feel very welcome.

The shower could have been a little hotter for my taste, but only a minor issue.

The location was convenient for our plans to visit Haleakala for sunrise.

It was located in a suburban neighborhood similar to staying at grandma's house. The kitchen was closed off with a curtain and do not enter sign. We got bed bugs from the place. The owner seems inflexible.
