Was perfect for our needs ie a night either side of a Glyndebourne Opera visit. It was just 15 mins away in a quiet village. The bed was comfy so we slept well. The continental breakfast suited us fine - muesli, granola, orange juice, fruit yoghurt, nice granary bread for toasting and a selection of spreads. It was brilliant having a fridge/freezer as we'd brought a light meal for our first night rather than eat out, and a few extras. Fran was welcoming and v kind - lent me a warmer elegant wrap/jacket in case I was cold at Glyndebourne. Decent shower and a separate loo. All good.

If we'd been staying longer we'd have liked having a couple of comfy armchairs, though there were wicker chairs in the bedroom. But since we weren't there long, it was fine for us. Just saying in case that matters to someone. (The first evening we sat on our bed to read our books.) Note also, if it matters to you, there's no TV. We didn't want one - don't watch much. In any case these days most people can watch on tablets/phones and the WiFi was decent.

It was very nice, homely place, a short walk to nearby pub and cafe. Self-service breakfast was perfectly satisfactory.

Didn't really matter that much to me for a single night stay but a TV is pretty standard these days and for the price might expect there to be one.
