2 Bed Apartment with Free Parking

Odd smell, kitchen utensils dirty, bedding very old with rips and didn't look clean, had to buy my own pillow case as I didn't even want to sleep in bed. WiFi didn't work, tv didn't work, no hot water, dust on tv unit, broken radiator cover in lounge area broken light fittings, dirty toilet in main bathroom, sticky floors. Shouting and banging all through the night from neighbours, felt unsafe. If I didn't live so far away I would have drove home rather than stay there. Since came out in bites so the place is infested. Avoid and do not stay here.

Flat was spacious and tidy. Good location and quiet area.

Water from the shower was not hot and there were no instructions to fix the problem. Had to shower with cold water, good job we are in spring and the temperature was moderate.

Property was very central. Parking was included which was great for us.

We had a few issues which we flagged up with the host. Windows that didn’t shut or lock, no tea towel to dry dishes. WiFi was non existent and that also meant we couldn’t watch the TV. This was fine for our 2 night short stay, but does definitely need to be sorted . We also noted that the shower drain was extremely slow to drain, so you get a full foot bath at the same time. The host did offer to send maintenance round while we were out but we said it could wait till we vacated the next day.

The location was good and the beds were lovely and soft and comfortable. The apartment was quite nice and spacious.

However, the apartment wasn't very clean and seemed poorly maintained. For example, we pulled out some plates to find greasy fingerprints all over them. Also the bath in the twin-bedded room was a little grimy and the shower attachment was ancient looking. The tea-towel looked a little grey and the living room carpet appeared dirty. We were unable to get the TV to connect to the wireless router (there was no other option on the TV) and the lighting in the lounge was too dim to read by in comfort. I didn't bother to contact our host (a member of a London-based rental company called 'Prolific Living') about the TV, as in the days prior to our arrival I had left phone messages and emails that remained unanswered. Not the level of courtesy I expect as a paying customer.

Accommodation was good, clean and in a very good location. All facilities provided as described.

Parking was an issue. Whilst entering the property in order to get the 1 off provided permit we received a parking ticket. Very disappointing.

Response to queries was very slow. When we arrived it was not as clean as I would expect it should be.

It wasn’t very clean, plates and cutlery were dirty. The shower en-suite temperature was unable to change so was just set on boiling hot so unusable.
